Avatar, or Signature? In my opinion, that seems more like a Signature. The biggest avatar's I allow are 250 pixels in width, otherwise it goes off the page, LOL.

If thats the size you made it, if you were to resize it, it would blur and pixilate.

But if you uploaded it, and it was bigger before, then go to the option which says 'Resize Image', and pick 'No'. With that, I'm talking about the forum uploader 'Servimg' which is above ^^ On any other uploader site, such as Tinypic, it would have the same option, though.
