Chapter 1-
Rosalleen Lee was not sure if her parents knew about her "ignoring them" plan. She was annoyed her parents actually wanted to not talk to her.
She left the living room, where her dad was watching the Lakers game. She turned, when she felt her father's eyes burning a hole on to her back.
"Don't you have something else to do tonight?" He asked, with an expression that he did want her to leave. "It's great that you want to spend time with me, but you don't like basketball."
It was true, even though she was on girl's basketball. She had no actual feeling to play it, or to watch it.
"Right." She said, "That is exactly why I'm leaving."
"You could have made plans with your friends."
"Hmm..I would. But a certain someone said I couldn't, so I decided to obey him for once."
The game was back on, and he continued on pretending not to hear her. Rosalleen walked to her room, and she sat down on her floor cushion set upon the white fluffy carpet.
She looked at her own face, and there she was. In the mirror, her reflection looked back at her. Her dark hair, her pale skin, and her grey eyes.
She stood up after minutes of looking at her face. Her friends would be at Knott's Berry Farm at this very moment.
You know you really don't want to go there. Must be fun..yeah, right, She thought to herself.
She looked at the opened window, and the night air filled her room. It wasn't all black yet, but she watched as the pink sky turned to a navy blue.
She climbed out her window, and she was now sitting on the roof. Rosalleen tilted her head at the sky, and turned her attention to the baseball game happening at the park, the thing the whole neighborhood watching.
Her eyes were now set at the house in front of her. The lights flickered at the house, on and off.
There was a shadow, and suspiciously- Rosalleen knew who the person was.
