Goodbye, Friend.

This is a poem dedicated to my friend in school. She is leaving and I wanted to write a poem about it.

Why did you have to go?
You left me there to cry
As I saw you look at me,
I waved my goodbye.
I was on the bus
I saw you in your car
Tears ran down my face,
As your mom drove you far.
I looked at you for the last time
Not believing my eyes
I wiped my tears,
As I cried desperate cries.
I couldn't see you at all
Nor your beautiful smiles
As I tried to not think about you,
I realized we were apart by miles.
My friends comforted me
But that was not the same
You had something special,
The comforts I received were lame.
When I got home
I cried in my room
I didn't know what to do,
My life was falling apart, I assume.
The next day I was lonely
Until my dad said something new
I got a letter from someone,
And that someone was YOU!
